DISCO presentation at the 14th World Congress on Anaerobic Digestion

19 November 2015

A poster with results obtained in the DISCO project was presented by Lothar Driller and María Eugenia Martínez (Fraunhofer Chile Research) at the 14th World Congress on Anaerobic Digestion held in Viña del Mar (Chile) from 15-18 November 2015.

The presentation entitled “Biogas potential of residues generated by the tomato processing industry under different substrate and inoculum conditions” is part of the work carried out within DISCO to improve the valorization of tomato residues after harvest and bioactive compound extraction. In this way, anaerobic digestion is more efficient and less final solids are disposed into the landfills.

This event was part of the IWA Anaerobic Digestion Specialist Group conference series, which are conceived as an international forum for discussion on state-of-the-art anaerobic bioprocess. The conference covered a wide range of topics related to the application of Anaerobic Digestion and related technologies for energy production and residue recuperation.
