Timisoara welcomes international experts in biochemistry and molecular biology

From 7-9 June 2017, Timisoara - the future European Capital of Culture - welcomes researchers to the Annual International Conference of the Romanian Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (RSBMB).

The event is jointly organized by the RSBMB and three highly specialized Romanian universities: The Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the West University of Timisoara and the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi.

The conference brings together the most representative Romanian experts in biochemistry and molecular biology and prestigious invited international speakers to discuss recent trends and research findings. With the support from several biotech companies, a special emphasis will be put on knowledge transfer that translates scientific results into practice.

As a member of the organizing committee, DISCO partner Carmen Socaciu (Proplanta) will chair the session "Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in plant and animal models". In this context, she will give a presentation on "High-throughput omics technology applied to fingerprint and elucidate metabolic profiles and pathways".
