September 29, 2015

The DISCO coordinator Paul Fraser (Royal Holloway and Bedford New College) presented the DISCO project at the 4th Annual Conference of the COST ACTION FA1106 QUALITYFRUIT taking place from September 27-30, 2015 in Lisbon (Portugal).

Paul Fraser’s presentation entitled “From discovery to products: a next generation pipeline for the sustainable generation of high-value plant products from Solanaceae” gave an overview of the DISCO project and highlighted results obtained in the DISCO project so far.

The COST Action’s Annual Conference was organized in the form of an international event on fleshy fruit and gathered leading European researchers and worldwide renowned scientists in the field. The Conference offered a framework for highlighting the latest advances in fleshy fruit research and updating the community on the new resources and tools becoming available especially those related to the two model fruit: tomato and grape. In addition, the event provided a forum for exchange and discussion among participating scientists.
