4th North and East European Congress on Food in Lithuania

From September 11-13, 2017 the 4th North and East European Congress on Food will take place in Kaunas (Lithuania).
Professor Carmen Socaciu of the Romanian partner institution Proplanta will represent DISCO at this year’s NEEFood Congress and will provide a presentation entitled “Tomato biorefinery: minimal processing by green chemistry techniques to obtain added value products for food, feed and cosmetic applications”. This presentation fits perfectly into the theme of the Congress focusing on global and local challenges in food science and technology. Interested scientists, professionals, companies, governmental officials and professional associations working in the fields of food production, food processing, food quality and safety, nutrition, engineering and design, innovative technologies from Europe will join this event.
After the very successful meetings in Sankt Petersburg in 2012, Kiev in 2013, and Brasov in 2015, the NEEFood Congress visits Lithuania for the first time in 2017. NEEFood 2017 offers the opportunity to combine the beauty and hospitality of Kaunas city with some of the outstanding works done on the important topics of food science and technology, and to make easy contacts and relations among researchers from all around the world.
